Prof. Johannes Hofinger MBA, Mag. iur. (Master of Law), FRM

Prof. Johannes Hofinger read law at Salzburg, obtained his MBA from Boston University and his FRM from GARP New York. He managed the risk management team of Hypovereinsbank AG, where he was responsible for the development of €50m market and credit risk management software.

He set up one of the first web agencies in Austria, Finedesign GmbH, now a full service multimedia agency.

Johannes and colleagues started the risk management consultancy (FIDECO GmbH) in 1997 and were soon awarded projects with some of the largest banks in Germany. The consultancy now employs over 20 consultants working mainly in implementation projects of risk management software.

Besides his professional activities he pursues his academic career. For over ten years Johannes has been an Assistant Professor at the OU Business School, where he has taught more than 500 students corporate financial strategy and international financial reporting throughout Europe.
