Dr David Basterfield PhD, MS, BSc (Hons), MBA
Dr David Basterfield has worked for CRI since its incorporation in Luxembourg in 1986 on major projects for the European Commission.
He was a system architect and technical manager for the project to develop a new COMEXT database, which took from 1992 to 1995. COMEXT, the database of foreign trade statistics, is the most widely used statistical system in the Commission.
Until 2005, David has been involved in every major project for CRI and in 2005 was invited to become professor of finance at Hillsdale College, one of the most prestigious private liberal arts colleges in the US.
At Hillsdale College, he teaches courses in corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions, financial derivatives and risk management. His areas of expertise include computational finance, optimization, statistics, systems analysis and design.
