Eurostat renew missing data contract

Eurostat renew missing data contract

CRI and Eurostat have recently renewed their contract for the maintenance of a system which can estimate missing external trade data transmitted by the EU Member States. The new contract will start in January 2012 and run for three years.

The EMDSAS (‘Estimates on missing data in external trade’) system, developed in SAS, estimates missing external trade data transmitted by EU Member States when they are loaded into the Comext reference database. The EMDSAS application implements the ARIMA model for the forecast. The services provided by CRI include evolutive upgrades and corrective maintenance of the EMDSAS application, technical assistance, analysis and development of applications with user-friendly interfaces, migration of SAS versions, monthly production of estimated data using EMDSAS and data control. The web version of the application, currently in production, will also be maintained.
