Next round of cooperation confirmed

Next round of cooperation confirmed

CRI and Eurostat will enter their next round of cooperation for statistical projects in January 2012. The three-year contract renewed relates this time to the processing of external trade data sent to Eurostat by partner countries and international institutions.

In this project, CRI helps Eurostat collect and process external trade data sent in by third countries – among them EFTA, EU candidate, TACIS and western Balkan countries, Canada, United States, Hong Kong and Taiwan – as well as by international institutions such as the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Once the data is received, CRI’s service then consists of defining and implementing statistical methodology, extracting the data to be treated, treating and validating all data, producing output files to be loaded into Eurostat’s Comext database, as well as checking this data and producing nomenclatures and methodological documents.
