Project description: In the Energy project, CRI treats, validates and disseminates monthly energy statistics, thus providing first preliminary information on energy trends long before the outcome of the more comprehensive annual data collections can be made available. The energy statistics (oil, gas, electricity, solid fuel, etc.) are received from the EU Member States, candidate countries as well as selected EFTA and NIS states. The data per reporting country is received via six different questionnaires. CRI services include: analysis and processing of monthly energy statistics questionnaires; preparation and implementation of quality check procedures; follow-up on the quality of questionnaires; preparation of periodic quality reports on the processed questionnaires.
