Project description
The project takes care of production process monitoring of the EU’s Official Journal and related documents. This includes configuration of web and external applications as well as the use of a state machine engine. Production is planned and processed by several applications: PlanJO, CERES, ProCat, Eur-Lex, and EUDOR. The system – a first version was set up within three months – is composed of two main applications: OJMonitor, a Java stand-alone application receiving and processing incoming notification messages; OJMonitorWeb, a highly configurable web application providing the user interface for daily use and functional administration. Production process monitoring includes modification of external applications to generate notification messages sent to the OJMonitor; use of a state machine engine (common SCXML) to follow the production process of each managed object and detect missing notifications.
