- Project description
- The project takes care of production process monitoring of the EU’s Official Journal and related documents. This includes configuration of web and external applications as well as the use of a state machine engine. Production is planned and processed by several applications: PlanJO, CERES, ProCat, Eur-Lex, and EUDOR. The system – a first version was set up within three months – is composed of two main applications: OJMonitor, a Java stand-alone application receiving and processing incoming notification messages; OJMonitorWeb, a highly configurable web application providing the user interface for daily use and functional administration. Production process monitoring includes modification of external applications to generate notification messages sent to the OJMonitor; use of a state machine engine (common SCXML) to follow the production process of each managed object and detect missing notifications.
